Our Story

A royal descendant of the great Ashanti Kingdom, I was born and raised in Ghana until I migrated to the United States after my university education.

I started learning about fashion and clothes from my mom whilst growing up. In my college years, I made my own clothes with African prints using European designs, which got me so much admiration. People always asked me where I shopped for clothes. Even in the US, I was entreated with the same enquiries as I proudly wore my fashionable African print clothes.

Initially, I started making African print clothing alongside raising my family and schooling. My passion got sidelined as family and paying bills took over my life. However, my unfulfilled passion to create African-inspired clothing persevered leading to  formation of African Royal clothing LLC in Long Island, NY 2020.
